BUILDING A BENCH TO PULL 120 INCHES OF DEPRESSION - would it be possible

New here and i wana thank u for such an informative site.
Im new at flow testing and wondered if it is possible to build a bench to pull 120 inches of water.
want to build a motor box and use the engine block to test the complete system
It would be of the sharp edge orfice type.
Hope u can bear with me this is the first time i have ever posted.
Any ideas would be very welcome

It's possible.

You will need a big blower fan or several multi stage vac motors.

You will need lots of electrical supply.

You will need to build a very strong motor box to prevent it im/ex-ploding.

If you have the money, this unit will do everything that you want.

Compared to a LOT of vacuum motors this unit will be much quieter__
and will be much more durable.

Cost is several thousand dollars though.

Considering that a high dollar "Blue Bench costs over $14,000
spending 5k for the blower and building your own plenum/ etc
might still be cheaper. The blower requires THREE PHASE power
to be the most efficient.

For over four psi of "boost" pressure, a centrifugal supercharger or big roots style blower will be required.

For perhaps 500 CFM of flow, around 20Hp absolute minimum will be needed to drive it, probably more like a 30Hp motor will be required.
