Upgrading SF-300?

Discussion on general flowbench design

First time posting on the board. Can't get enough of the info on here. My question is..I was wondering if its possible to upgrade my current sf-300 to more vacuum motors or whatever it takes to get higher water depressions?

Rocco,

A Sf-300 and a SF-600 are very close to the same bench.

The orifices are the same.

The manometer fluid was changed from the .826 sg type red fluid standard on the Dwyer inclined manometer to the 1.91 sg blue fluid.

The bench has 8 of the 115923 motors vs the 6 motors used in the SF-300 bench.

The ranges on your bench are naturally 25,50,100,200,300,400 and the ranges on the SF-600 bench are 37.5, 75, 150, 300, 450, and 600. As you can see there is a 50% jump in the range cfm, (all due to the different manometer fluid allowing a higher delta p across the same sized orifice.

The SF-600 does use longer range vertical manometers (2) 48" units vs the 36" manometer on the SF-300 unit.

Tom V.

Hope this helps.
