Velocity probe question

I'm still haven't got my bench completely assembled but I'm looking ahead, I'm looking at pressure sensors for data aquisition and I'm wondering what range to select for the velocity probe sensor. Put another way, what's the maximum port velocity I could expect to see testing at 28"?

It has been awhile since I have tested, but I have a u tube manometer I made with a total of 36" h2o and have not come close. I think the most I have seen is around 15". I will see if I can run a test tomorrow and see what I can find out for you.

I've seen 450+ fps in a SBC head. The smaller the CSA, the higher the velocity.

Thanks, that pretty rules out the lower range sensor I was looking at.
