Geocities is going down permanently later this month, I've been using it for several years, now I got to some place else to host my stuff, can anyone recommend some place, preferably free?

Try www.1and1.com It is not free but they have some neat cheap plans. I have three domains and 2500 email addresses (yeah, like I need them) for around $130 per year - you can get much cheaper plans.
