It is sort of related to our airflow subjects. Does this take a special curve on the "funnel" part? Any formulas that would help me? Any ideas?

The e-bay add has ended, and the picture is no longer there, so I have no idea what this looks like.

If making an air vortex is your thing, a turbocharger exhaust housing does exactly that. It is the exact optimum geometry for swirling high pressure air into a circle, that is what it does.

John, Have you considered using the NACA duct contours and making a circular duct? That duct takes fast air in and slows it down very well so if you went the other way, it could work nicely. I would use only the lateral coordinates for a 2D version and let that be a radius (unless you can find the 3D coordinates somewhere). I have the 2D somewhere if you can't find them.
