600cfm Micro Bench

Well, I thought it could never be done, but I was wrong!

Image
Picture of Flow Performance FR4b Bench recptacle (top) with FE2.5m flow element (bottom part).

An exclusive test program of the new Flow Performance FR4b Bench Receptacle that accepts the Flow Performance FE2.5m Flow Element has shown to work exceptionally well in a Micro Bench setup from 30 scfm up to 600 scfm within 1%. Since it actually appears to flow 600cfm within .2%, it might flow higher!

And the balance appears to be superb. Balance is the ability to consistantly measure a concentrated stream of air no matter where it is located on the bench receptacle opening.

The FR4b Bench Recptacle can be attached to the bottom of a bench top or shelf for constructing a flow bench.

The best part is that this setup works well with low power air sources like a shop vac, for those who don't want to invest in a high power air source, yet want the capability for possible future upgrade.

Hi Shawn,

An FP1 Standard, FR4b bench receptacle and FE2.5m flow element will be under $1000.00 US.

Stock size cylinder bore adaptors are $99.00, custom sizes $199.00.

FPcom is free, FPcomXL is $99.00

I see Sears has a 5hp shop vac with both vacuum port and blower port located side-by-side, perfect for a low power air source. I have been hearing from some folks who have been making some awsome power porting heads with just a shop vac for an air source.

Mouse,
could this set up be adapted to use performance trends black box and software? I understand that it is set up for the fp1 but i am courious because if it could work i'd be wanting it for x mas.

Finished some more testing on the FE2.5m flow element micro bench setup.

Using 8 of the SurplusCenter.com #16-1234 vacuum motors in a special air-source box, I was able to achieve 600 SCFM @ 25"wc, and 580 SCFM @ 28"wc on a micro bench setup.

However, 600 SCFM seems to be the limit for a micro bench setup using the Flow Performance FE2.5m flow element. Above 600 cfm the accuracy falls off quickly.

Can you post the tower of power motor box final internal arrangement
with the motors, valves, and hole locations.

using the 1234 motors right?

Thanks
