Im in the market for an engine dyno package and I have contacted a few of the USA manufacturers about the various packages they offer. They all claim that their systems are the best as you would expect and im just wondering if any of you would care to comment on the pros and cons of the various dynos you may have had contact with. My requirements are nothing out of the ordinary just looking for a reasonably basic and affordable system for engine break in and tuning etc. The power absorber requirements would be under 1000hp @ 8000rpm or there abouts. At this stage Land and sea is the company im leaning towards.

Darrin, while there are certainly people here that have water brake engine dynos, there would not be very many.
Your best bet might be to check out the Speed Talk Forum. There must be hundreds of professional engine tuners over there that use engine dynos almost every day. Try doing a search over there, there should be plenty of relevant threads to find.

Thanks Tony i will give that a try. I just thought i would give it a shot here as this is the only forum i have had anything to do with. (new to this forum thing) Time to broaden my horizons.
