in the past i always used higher test pressures mainly if i was struggling with a new design, pro stock especially, big chief, sonnys, etc., and wanted to see every little, minut change in airflow. the higher test pressure seem to pick it up better than lower pressures.

Great points Max.

I think we are saying the same thing from a different angle. I do most of my work at the std 28" but I like being able to go higher or lower when ever I want/need. I know of a couple heads that are GREAT at 28" but they never sem to make the power they should. When we would pull on them harder we could begin to see the areas that needed addressed.

The flow benches we currently use are as everyone knows, pretty much "static" devices the engine on the other hand is very dynamic. Using different test pressures is one way to allow our "static" benches to try (and that is a stretch) to be more dynamic.
